The dog won’t stop smiling in his shelter
When 7-week-old Layla was picked up by Beaumont Animal Care in Texas, she was shy and nervous. Her small body had gone through so much hardship.
Veterinary technician Rachel Barron noticed how stressed Layla was. All Rachel wanted to do was give her comfort. Rachel went a little further than that, talking to Layla in “baby-talk”. Layla had a smile that could melt many hearts.
Thankfully, Rachel had a phone and recorded the entire encounter. Layla’s change in behavior has shown us all how much it means for a scared puppy like Layla to be treated kindly. Her tail and smile are so captivating!
When Layla is old enough and in better health, she is ready for adoption. Of course, since Layla’s video was posted on social media, a lot of applications for Layla adoption have poured in. But a woman named Nicole Toney and her husband, who have rescued several dogs and cats, were deemed fit to adopt Layla.
Layla is just one of many animals at the shelter in dire need of a home. While Layla is happily ever after, there are many other dogs still waiting to have such a home.
Please, if your heart flutters and in your home, consider adopting children. If your heart and home are filled, then consider sharing Layla’s story.
All animals deserve to live the best life possible.
